City of Torrance CA helping test the Accord Plug-in Hybrid

In the past, Honda had offered it’s Honda Fit EV to Torrance for some real-world testing. Now, Honda is using Torrance to help test the Accord PHEV.

On August 13th, Honda delivered the Accord Plug-in Hybrid to Torrance city officials.

Through real-world feedback of the Fit EV and now the Accord Plug-In, the City of Torrance plays an essential role in the refinement and evolution of electric drive vehicles and, ultimately, the expansion of customer adoption for this technology.

Honda went on to say that the city has put more than 7,500 miles on the Fit Electric Vehicle and the data from that testing shows the vehicle can easily exceed the EPA ratings.
