Portugal uses Nissan Leaf as police vehicle

It’s not the first time an electric vehicle has been added to a police fleet, but it still makes interesting news. The Nissan Leaf is going to be used as a police vehicle in Portugal. The electric vehicles will most likely be used for the Safe School Program, but the Nissan Leaf police vehicles are fully outfitted to perform other police duties at any time. The Nissan Press Release touts the 8 Leafs as a way to arrive at a crime scene in near silence.
