Infiniti Emerg-E won’t make it to production

The new head of Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti has made it official. The Emerg-E electric hybrid supercar will not make it to production. At the Paris Auto Show, Infiniti’s chief Johan de Nysschen did say that aspects of the electric concept car will be used in the powertrain and design of other electric vehicles. Specifically, the Emerg-E would offer strong design cues in the G-series.

The Infiniti LE is still set to launch in 2014, and it will have wirless charging capabilities.

The Infiniti Emerg-E concept apparently had a 300 mile range from battery and gasoline and a 0-60mph time of under 4 seconds.
