Toyota is offering a limited number of customers a $5,000 cash back plug $2,500 in ‘loyalty cash’. If purchasing a Toyota Rav4 EV by January 7, buyers can also get 0% financing.
If you factor in the $7500 federal tax credit for plug-in vehicles and the $2,500 clean vehicles rebate from the state of California, buyers can cut the price on the Rav4 EV by $17,500 bringing the overall price down to $32,000 from $49,800!
Toyota is expecting to sell about 2,600 of the Rav4 EVs through the 2014 sales year. The Toyota Rav4 EV is rated as having a 78MPGe rating, and an all electric range of 103 miles – higher than the Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i-Miev.
