BMW 3 series eDrive Plug-in Hybrid spotted in development

In addition to the ‘Hybrid Test Vehicle’ stickers that clearly designate this vehicle as such, there is also a second fuel door located on the front fender – probably hiding the electric charging port.

This 3-series plug-in hybrid test vehicle is likely using the same 4 cylinder turbocharged engine and electric motor that was in the X5 eDrive concept. The X5 eDrive has an electric top speed of 75mph and a range of just under 20 miles. In a lighter, more aerodynamic package, this eDrive 3-series could get 30 miles of all electric range.
