Zeekr 7X: Europe’s New Challenger in the Family SUV Market

Zeekr (ZK), the ambitious EV brand under Geely Holding, is making waves in Europe with its latest offering: the Zeekr 7X.

Following the success of the Zeekr 001 shooting brake and the compact Zeekr X, this all-electric family SUV aims to redefine the midsize segment. Here’s everything you need to know about Zeekr’s newest contender.

A Global Introduction with Local Appeal

The Zeekr 7X is now available for pre-sales in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway. Prices start at €52,990 in the Netherlands, 529,000 SEK in Sweden, and 539,900 NOK in Norway, with deliveries slated for summer 2025. While the European pricing reflects added tariffs and transportation costs, the SUV still promises competitive value given its premium features.

Developed by Zeekr’s design team in Gothenburg, Sweden, the 7X leverages the brand’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the same platform underpinning the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X. With its sleek aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, the 7X feels tailor-made for European tastes while delivering the versatility families demand.

Performance Meets Versatility

The Zeekr 7X comes in three variants:

  • Premium (RWD): Powered by a 310 kW motor, offering 480 km (WLTP) range.
  • Long Range (RWD): Extends range to 615 km with the same motor.
  • Performance (AWD): Dual motors delivering a combined 470 kW, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

Battery configurations include a 75-kWh LFP pack for the Premium model and a 100-kWh NMC pack for the Long Range and Performance variants. Built on an 800V platform, the 7X supports ultra-fast charging up to 480 kW, enabling a 10-80% charge in as little as 13 minutes with 360 kW chargers.

Designed for Families, Engineered for the Future

Measuring 4,787 mm in length, the Zeekr 7X balances spaciousness with a streamlined profile. Inside, the SUV’s minimalist design offers luxury touches such as leather-wrapped, perforated seats and an optional panoramic sunroof. The second row includes folding tray tables and entertainment screens, ensuring comfort for passengers on long drives.

Technophiles will appreciate the advanced cockpit, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, a 16-inch HD touchscreen, and an augmented reality head-up display. Zeekr’s AI-driven voice assistant, ZeekrGPT, ensures a seamless user experience.

Expanding Horizons

Zeekr’s European foray began with the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X, which have already gained traction in Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany.

The brand has set ambitious targets for 2024, aiming to deliver 230,000 vehicles globally. Recent milestones, such as delivering over 27,000 vehicles in November alone, underscore its rapid growth.

The 7X is more than a vehicle; it’s a statement of intent. By blending high performance, sustainability, and family-friendly features, Zeekr positions itself as a serious player in Europe’s EV market.

Charge Complete

With the Zeekr 7X, the brand is setting a new benchmark for midsize electric SUVs. From its ultra-fast charging to luxurious interior and competitive pricing, the 7X promises to deliver on all fronts.

As Zeekr’s third European offering, it’s clear the company isn’t just keeping pace but leading the charge in making sustainable mobility the new norm.
