This test, in my opinion demonstrates the ability to stretch the range by using low rolling resistance tires ( which in the past wore out prematurely) & hyper-miling ( not an expectant average commuter practice). Not disclosed was starting and ending elevation, average speed traveled and prevailing wind direction & speed. When attemoting to break a world record, you can rest assured no stone was left unturned. Congrats to the planners who chose the ideal location and course and the drivers, who won’t be hyper-miling my EV.
    As for breakthroughs in EV tech, still waiting on the CATL 500Wh/Kg vaporware battery.
